Transformed life into abundance, removing all the lack

Swami Pranavananda (Formerly known as ‘Brahmachari Santosh’) has devoted his full life to The Art of Living and Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, since he attended his first Art of Living course in Feb 2000. That turned out to be a day of transformation in his life. Today he is Maharashtra coordinator of the Art of Living bureau of communication and also a teacher who travels all over Maharashtra, UP, MP, Gujarat to teach Pranayam, Meditation, Sri Sri Yoga, Youth empowerment program , Art of living programs for the media and Apex and Sahaj Samadhi meditation, Advance Meditation Program etc.

Then, he was Santosh Kapadne , a commerce graduate, a very good Chess player and a successful coach for many years . Looking back into the past he shared, “Though I was earning a good income, it was never enough and I was always in a ‘I want more’ state of mind. Most of the time I used to be in affliction and anguish due to the anger, ego, jealousy and insecurity in life.”

In Jan 2000, during a chess competition, he met Mr Rashmin Pulekar , a very good Chess player and an Art of Living teacher. As per his suggestion, Santosh Kapadne joined his first Art of living program in Nashik, in Feb 2000, along with one of his best friends and also a Chess player called Anand Vaishampayan , who is now known as Swami Anandji .

Remembering that special day and sharing about the Sudarshan Kriya experiences, Swami ji said, “Before the course, I used to think that ‘I know everything and nobody can teach me anything more’. I completely disbelieved in any bearded Sadhu or Baba. In my opinion, they all were fraud. I attended the course just because my friend insisted me to join and because of some curiosity about the course. But when I did the ‘Sudarshan Kriya’ on the second day of the course, I was just clean bowled ! That was the moment when I had a feeling that, I had found what I was searching for all my life. I got the purpose of my life !

Experience of Sudarshan Kriya

The Sudarshan Kriya and other processes in the course helped me in calming down. The irritation in my mind started reducing. The addiction of consuming 30 to 40 cups of tea a day was no more. I developed a new habit of waking up early in the morning. The chattering and wondering mind calmed down completely. The focus of mind improved while playing or teaching Chess. “

Santosh ji was still playing it safe. Sending people to the course and assisting in the course continued. By watching the difference in people’s life and looking at their peace of mind and happiness in life after attending the course, his interest in Gurudev and Seva, Sadhana and Satsang started growing day by day.

Abundance in Life

Talking about the life after the transformation, he said, “all the so-called lacks in my life just vanished. The more I was getting involved in the service projects more abundance was seen in my life. Guruji gave everything without even asking for it.”

He gave an wonderful example about the importance of Service / Seva and Guru Grace. Once when he was travelling in the Northern part of India to spread the knowledge and for some Service projects, he just had Rs 400 with him. He did not know how the travel, stay and other expenses were managed. When he came back, he still had the 400 Rs in his pocket intact. “When we are serving the society the divine takes care of everything “, he explained.

In 2017 he was bestowed with the title of ‘Swami Pranavananda’ by Gurudev, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar . That was like a reward of his Seva for the last so many years. He was to travelling to UP, Rajasthan, MP, Gujarat and all over Maharashtra, to spread the knowledge and for service projects. Now he is also travelling to these places for performing ‘Rudra Pooja’ , ‘Upanayan Sanskar’ and ‘Padayatra’ for a good cause .

While telling the secret of abundance Swamiji said, “ By Gurudev coming in life all the lack was gone , life became full of abundance. Everyone lives for themselves but we need to help and live for other people.

The only way, the right path for this is , ‘The Art Of Living’.

"Jai Gurudev means victory to the greatness in you, victory to the big mind in you that is both dignified and playful"
